# Agent

The agent does the work in a Job. It combines an AI model with the Space's instructions, tools, and access rules.

## What an agent does

The agent can answer questions, read sources, use approved tools, run processes, and check the result. The AI model does the reasoning; TurnPanel gives it the right context and controls what it can do.

## How it works

1. **Follow the rules.** Use the Job and Space settings. Ask you only for missing information or an important decision.
2. **Check sources.** Read the relevant file or current public source before making a claim or change.
3. **Do the work.** Use the simplest reliable way to complete the task.
4. **Check the result.** Confirm that the work succeeded and keep the evidence in the Job.

## Access and approval

A Job inherits its Space's access rules. You can restrict the Job further, but you cannot use a Job setting, Skill, or tool to bypass the Space's rules. Sensitive actions, such as changing files or services, using credentials, or making a payment, may still ask for approval.
