# Extensions

An Extension installs a group of related TurnPanel resources as one package.

## Why package a workflow

Use an Extension when one workflow needs several Spaces, Skills, Scripts, Apps, or Automations that should be installed and updated together.

## Installation

1. **Choose targets.** Choose which Spaces and optional resources the Extension may use or create.
2. **Review.** Review what it will install, what access it needs, and anything you must set up first.

### Inspect the plan before Download & install

**Context:** Install review

Review install presents the resource plan, requested access, dependencies, setup work, and blocking issues. Download & install follows only a reviewed plan.

- **Requested access** [ready]: Visible before installation
- **Dependencies and setup** [ready]: Included in the reviewed plan
- **Blocking issue** [waiting]: Prevents installation until resolved
- **Download & install** [active]: Available after a valid review
3. **Install.** Approve the plan, install it, and fix any setup items that remain.

## Updates and removal

Before an update, TurnPanel shows what will be added, changed, or removed, including local edits and permission changes. If you uninstall an Extension, locally changed resources are kept as independent copies. Automations installed by an Extension stay paused until you turn them on.
