# Settings

Settings that apply to the TurnPanel app or this computer, not to one Space.

## Settings tabs

Settings contains System, Shortcuts, Dictation, Agent, Diagnostics, Updates, Feedback, and About. To change a Space’s instructions, resources, sharing, or new-Job defaults, open that Space’s settings instead.


### Choose an app-wide Settings section

The Settings sidebar links to each app-wide preference section.

- **System** [active]: Appearance, audio devices, notifications, privacy, and reset
- **Shortcuts · Dictation · Agent** [ready]: Focused preference panels
- **Diagnostics · Updates · Feedback · About** [ready]: Support and application information

## System and reset

- System contains appearance, notifications, privacy, and factory reset.

### Choose keeps before a destructive reset

**Context:** Reset TurnPanel

The reset flow shows keep options, typed confirmation, and progress.

- **Reset app…** [active]: Opens the reset options
- **Keep on this machine** [ready]: Optional checkboxes
- **Type RESET** [waiting]: Required before confirmation
- **Starting reset…** [waiting]: Progress panel after confirmation
- Factory reset asks you to type RESET. You can choose to keep downloaded models, memory, Skills, Scripts, and model runtimes. Reset must be done on the computer running TurnPanel, and it does not delete Browser sign-in profiles.


## Actions that require the main computer

Some actions must happen on the computer running TurnPanel, including microphone setup, app updates, factory reset, and OAuth sign-in.
