Your download has started

One step before the first open

The Preview isn’t notarised yet: it’s with Apple for review, and they’re taking their time. Until it’s through, macOS blocks it the first time. Clearing that takes a few seconds, once.

  1. Open the downloaded file and drag TurnPanel onto Applications.
  2. Open Terminal and run this:
    Terminal
    $ xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/TurnPanel.app
  3. Open TurnPanel from Applications as usual.

Rather not use Terminal? Try to open TurnPanel once, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.

Settings

Where everything is: your profile and devices, the workspace's account, access, models and updates, and the admin pages.

Finding it

Open the workspace menu (your avatar, at the bottom of the rail) and choose Settings. The list at the left has three groups. You see only the sections you may use. On a phone, the list is the first screen and each section opens over it.

For admins the menu also shows two status lines that link into Settings: the TurnPanel account (Connected, Pro, or Not connected) and the tunnel. It also has your profile, Activity across spaces, Take the tour and Sign out.

You

  • Profile. Your name and photo, your linked TurnPanel account, your passkeys, and your agents' sign-ins.
  • Notifications. What reaches you, quiet hours, and push on your devices.
  • This device. Appearance and theme, installing the app, shortcuts, audio and dictation.

Shared

These apply to the whole workspace.

  • TurnPanel account. Connect or disconnect, your plan, what it unlocks, and hosted-model spending. Admins only.
  • Remote access. The address in use, the tunnel, and your own domain and HTTPS. Admins only.
  • Signing in. Whether Sign in with TurnPanel is on. Admins only.
  • People. Members and invitations.
  • Models. Four tabs: On this cluster, Library, Online and Background.
  • Keys and MCP. Your API keys and how to connect other MCP clients.
  • Email. Outgoing mail settings and a test message. Admins only.
  • Privacy and security. Air-gapped mode and telemetry. Admins only.
  • Updates. The release channel, a maintenance window, base images for every space, and the version. The version and licences are visible to everyone.

Admin

  • Resources and cluster. Each machine, what spaces and models use, and the shared memory budget. Join or remove a machine here.
  • Health and logs. Checks, logs and Report a problem.
  • Audit. The audit log, for the owner, admins and auditors.

Settings set by the server

On a server, any workspace setting can also come from an environment variable (TURNPANEL_<NAME>) or the turnpanel.toml file. Those win over the page, and the page shows them read-only as Managed by the server's configuration.

Updates

On a Mac or Windows PC, Settings under Updates shows a new version's notes and one step to restart and install it. Spaces' base images update separately: you can update them one at a time or all at once, and each space restarts onto the new image and keeps the old one to go back to. Models and agents never update on their own.
