One step before the first open

The Preview isn’t notarised yet: it’s with Apple for review, and they’re taking their time. Until it’s through, macOS blocks it the first time. Clearing that takes a few seconds, once.

  1. Open the downloaded file and drag TurnPanel onto Applications.
  2. Open Terminal and run this:
    Terminal
    $ xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/TurnPanel.app
  3. Open TurnPanel from Applications as usual.

Rather not use Terminal? Try to open TurnPanel once, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.

Third-Party Agents

Run tools such as Claude Code or Codex in a visible terminal, while TurnPanel supervises and checks their work.

Supervised agent pattern

  1. Brief

    Tell the tool exactly which folder to work in, which project instructions to follow, what it may change, and which tests to run.

  2. Launch

    Start the tool in a live terminal below the Job.

    Build the authentication flow
    Claude Code
    RunningclaudeStop
    $ claude
    The child terminal keeps the third-party tool’s own account and approval boundaries visible.
  3. Supervise

    Watch for questions in the terminal. You handle credentials and important decisions yourself.

  4. Verify

    After the tool finishes, TurnPanel checks the files, changes, and tests instead of trusting the tool’s summary.

Failure states

A quiet terminal may be waiting at a menu or question. Check the screen before assuming the tool finished, answer only prompts you approved, and verify its claims separately.
